Age 10. Cafeteria Called Orders By Name

My brother and I would hang out at the university cafeteria most of the day and hang out. We discovered, much to our amusement, that the cooks' system for alerting customers that their orders were done was to call them by name over the loudspeaker. We had never run into this before. We decided to test the limits of this system. Of course we had very little money; maybe $5 between us... so we studied the menu and discovered that there was no minimum order. So we would order bacon for $0.15 and write the craziest name we could think of.
On our maiden journey we had them announce "Spiderman" and "The Hulk" (2 separate orders). The results were slightly disappointing though. The loudspeaker voice sheepishly called out "Spidey and Hulk". But we were on the floor laughing. we thought it was hilarious.

Next orders were for "Shirley Temple" and "Uncle Billy". But that was reduced to "Shirley and Billy". We were still rolling...

For a mere fifteen cents, we gained control of a public P.A. system!
I don't remember the other names we used, but I can tell you that we did not return home with any money.
Good times!
